Procurement Coordinator

Glasgow | Office | Negotiable | Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Based in our East Kilbride office, we are currently seeking a proactive and highly organised Ironmongery Procurement Coordinator to help manage the end-to-end procurement process for a variety of materials and manufacturing consumables.

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for ensuring timely ordering, accurate tracking, and efficient delivery of materials to support production schedules. The role will also support supplier relationships, stock levels, warehousing operations, and provide regular reporting to internal stakeholders.

This position requires experience in a procurement or relevant supply chain role, strong organisational skills, diligence, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, environment.

Previous experience in the procurement of ironmongery or similar materials would be a considerable advantage.

This role is office based with occasional travel to our other UK sites.


Responsibilities

  • Procure and process material requirements from internal Project Managers and place purchase orders accordingly

  • Negotiate existing pricing and lead times with suppliers

  • Collaborate with suppliers to expedite urgent orders and resolve delivery issues (missing/damaged goods).

  • Maintain minimum stock levels, ensuring availability for production

  • Assist in organising stock transfers and shipments our manufacturing facility

  • Attend production meetings when required and provide updates on materials and procurement status

  • Manually update internal systems when orders are placed and goods received

  • Support warehouse team with ad hoc procurement related admin tasks

  • Assisting Accounts to resolve invoice queries; use internal finance systems to approve or dispute invoices

  • Assist with pricing exercises when needed


Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics coordination

  • Supplier relationship management skills

  • Proficient in using procurement systems (e.g., Rtis), databases, and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines
